:: All her life, she's believed that she was just a regular girl from Kilika. But recently, she has learned that she has reason to doubt it's all true. It was after she met Tidus that she began wondering. She felt a strange connection to him and often asked Yuna if she had any idea what it could be. Yuna could tell Vanya that Tidus is actually just a dream, kept alive by the Fayths. That Tidus is from another time...from a Zanarkand that doesn't exist exept for in the dream of the Fayths. But the Fayths aren't dreaming anymore, yet they restored Tidus because of how Yuna and her friends saved the world twice before. And now, Vanya is convinced that she and Tidus have a sort of linked past. Or at the very least, an alternative past.

Vanya doesn't remember much about her childhood. She only has vague memories of growing up in Kilika with her mother. Because that's what she's been told. But when Sin destroyed Kilika two years ago, Vanya's mother was killed. Vanya managed to survive, along with her friend Jou, who'd also lost her loved ones because of Sin's attack. Vanya was there when Yuna first came to send the dead to the Farplane and this was also when she met Rikku for the first time. After the death of her mother, Vanya had began her journey to find out the truth about her life. Something just didn't fit right.

Vanya is usually calm and kind. She's strong-willed and devoted to whatever she sets her mind to. She is a Stormchaser, seeking storms and challenging them. Storms sing to her and she dances to their thundering song. She met Gippal during her travels when she was passing through Djose, and recognized him from a time when she had visited Bikanel when she was younger. They had been what you call 'sweethearts' back then, but when Vanya had gone back home to Besaid, they didn't meet again, until now. Gippal showed her around Djose and the two of them became romantically inclined, but when Vanya told him about what had happened with her mother, Gippal thought she was crazy. They had a quarrel and even though they liked eachother a lot, the relationship ended. Vanya continued on her journey, while Gippal enrolled to become a Cadet for the Crimson Squad. There, he met Paine.

During that time, Vanya met her friend Jou again, who had become a Spherehunter. Vanya remembered Rikku and remembered that she was a former Gullwing...another Spherehunter. Vanya & Jou convinced Rikku to become a spherehunter again. Together with Rikku, they search for Sphere's that hopefully will uncover Vanya's hidden past.

The brilliant sunlight glittered over the sky, casting red, pink and orange colours across the thin, flat clouds that soared above them. A small breeze slithered its way over the skin of her body and she closed her eyes as her head rested on the grassy patch they lay on. Vanya let a soft sigh emerge from her throat after a hard days hunting. "Life's pretty alright, don't you agree, Jou?" she asked her companion. Vanya smiled to herself as her eyes were still closed and the warmth of the fading sun played across her face.

A happy girl who mostly looks at things positive. She loves animals, and is an excellent Chocobo rider.
But then again, she is not the best Blitzball player, she really suck at it.

Her mother got killed by Sin when she was 14, she then joined the Crusaders with her father to fight Sin.
Now, her father is with the Youth League, and he is a close friend of Nooj, a man that Jou really can`t stand.
So, after 2 years of Sword Training, and an other 2 years of training Chocobo`s, Jou decides to become a Sphere Hunter.
Why? well, she always wanted to see the whole Spira, and maybe she`ll find a sphere of her mom? Who know`s, right?

Jou laid herself back in the grass next to Vanya, feeling how good it was to rest. "It sure is" She smiled. "I think that I killed at least 20 Fiends today, at least thats what my arm tells me."

"Yeah! Suuure, tell yourself that," Rikku said, smiling towards the sky. "It must have been at least double that, and you know it" she laughed.

[Fantasy]

Vanya chuckled at the girls' bickering and joined in. "I think we can all safely agree that it was a whole bunch of those bastards." Her determined voice carried great strength and wisdom, even for a young girl like her. In spite of the apparent happiness that surrounded the girls, Vanya still felt an empty space in her heart. Ever since she was little, she'd felt like she was missing someone. It felt like having a deck of cards, and when you re-count them, you notice that there has to be one gone missing, but you can't seem to recognize what card is gone. Maybe one of these days they find a Sphere that could help her. Or atleast tell her that she was being paranoid.
Gippal hadn't been much help either. All he had done was poke fun at Vanya and her silly and misplaced suspicions.

"Hey! Lazies!" called a familiar male voice. Up the path a little further away, Tidus came jogging up, his hair bouncing and whirling around his fair face. He dropped down to sit just next to Rikku, causing some dust to fly at her. He nudged his shoulder toward her. "Whatcha lazy ladies upto?" He gave a particular glare at Rikku. "Any bragging stories to tell? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

Rikku coughed "Thanks for the beautyful shower of dust!" She brushed off the dust from herself, and looked up at Tidus again. "Nah, we was just about to talk of you behind your back, but now, we really can't" she poked Tidus on his chest, "Because now that you're here, it's no fun."

Jou pushed Rikku over "Yeah, that's right! We were just about to tell Vanya about your first ride on a Chocobo, Tidus." she smiled and looked at Vanya, who looked a little off. "You o'right, Vanya?"

[Fantasy]

Tidus laughed brightly and scoffed lightheartedly. "Hey now, I was excellent, I have no idea what you're talking about, Rik. I'm excellent at everything!" He stuck out his tongue and continued to laugh.

Vanya was torn out of her reverie and looked kindly at Jou. After a silent pause, she nodded. "Yeah. I'm allright," she said softly. She looked over at Tidus and Rikku bothering eachother as usual, she couldn't help but smiled fondly at them. There was something about him that made Vanya feel different. Like some invisible bond that she couldn't understand. She saw his eyes and smiled again. "Nobody is excellent at everything Tidus. You of all people should know," she joked and chuckled.

[Xiao]

"Right, Vanya, no one is, it's just that Tidus here got a swelled up head." Jou laughed, "I mean, I KNOW that I'm not good at everything, just look at me and Blitz; now thats a bad mix!"

"Yeah, we all know that, Jou, a little too good actually" Rikku said, winking at Jou.

"Oh, now you're asking for it!" Jou said, attacking Rikku.

"Hey! I wasn't done talking yet!" Rikku laughed, "When you mentioned Blitzball, I kind of know why our friend here has such a swollen head."

Jou sat herself up and of Rikku again, "Yeah.... since he's the big pro and all that, he thinks that his the best in EVERYTHING, now don't you, mr. perfect?" she smiled at Tidus.

[Fantasy]

Tidus portrayed a brilliant grin and poked his chest out a little more than usual. "Of course! Besides, I don't think...I know..." he winked cleverly and chuckled at himself.

Vanya raised her leg up slightly into the air and tightened the laces around her boots. The leather squeaked and she sat her leg back down with a great big thud. She turned and lay on her side, toward the others. "Mister perfect?" she asked dully and lifted an eyebrow at Jou. "Honestly...have you been dipping into the colourful drinks much lately?"

Tidus laughed. "Hey! The girl can't help it if she thinks I'm perfect."

Vanya nodded her head and smiled. "Or maybe I just heard her wrong, and what she really meant was that YOU thought you're mister perfect and she was merely being sarcastic." Vanya winked.

He quickly turned to Rikku and put up his index-finger, waving it around slightly infront of her face. "Not a word, Rikku...Not a word..." he warned playfully.

[Xiao]

Jou smiled, "Well, that's not stopping me, is it?" I think that Vanya here heard me right, and that youe swelled little head only wants hear good-butterfly-fairy-things, and thats why you couldn't hear what I really said, isn`t that right?"

"Right." Rikku said, biting Tidus finger.

[Fantasy]

"Ow!" the blitzball superstar cried out and blew on his finger. "And ow to you too, Jo-se-phine," he teased and stuck his tongue out.
Vanya shook her head at the others and rolled onto her back again, staring at the sky. It was a little darker now, stars were beginning to twinkle.

[Xiao]

"Hey! you know I hate that name!" Jou laughed and stuck her tongue out too. Jou put her tounge into her mouth again "Vanya. kill him. He's annoying." she said, smiling.

"Hey.. what about me?" Rikku said, looking innocent at Jou.

"Vanya's stronger, and you're just a weak little girl with some childish Claws, you could never have taken Tidus down."

A second later, Jou found herself under Rikku.

"Oh now YOU'RE asking for it!" Rikku laughed
